Michele Farthing, CDA - Office Manager/Certified Dental Assitant

Education: I graduated from Binghamton High School, attended Broome Community College. I am a DANB licensed and CDAMP certified Dental Assistant.

I have over 28 years as a Dental Assistant. 25 of those years are with the Perna Dental Team. I have been the Office Manager for over 14 years.

As the Office Manager I oversee all patient care, staff, and office policies. I enjoy my staff and patients.

I live in Johnson City with my 2 children. I stay busy with all their sports and activities. I also enjoy being at our summer cottage and traveling.

Katie Fenton, RDH - Registered Dental Hygienist

Graduate of SUNY Broome- 2003. Oral facial Myofunctional Therapist. Certified Breast Feeding Specialist & Maternal Support Practitioner. Originally form Western NY & have lived in the Southern Tier area over 20 years.

I love being part of an amazing team and building lasting relationships with patients. I coach basketball & softball for my kids. Volunteer at my kids school. Love to play golf, softball, travel, hiking and Skiing.

Darby Crocker - Dental Assistant

I graduated from Harpursville in 2015. I have been a dental assistant for over 6 years. Started at Perna Dental in 2023.

I live in Endwell with my 2 beautiful children. In my free time I enjoy, hiking, traveling, golfing and spending time with my family.

Brianna O’Brien - Dental Assistant

I graduated from Binghamton High School in 2009. I attended Broome Community College from 2009-2011. I have been a dental assistant for over 12 years, working with many dentists and specialist, including Oral Surgeons, Pediatric, periodontist, and Anesthesiologists. I started with Perna Dental in 2023.

The best part of my job is getting to work hands on to help patients achieve good oral health. I love educating patients, and helping them understand different aspects of dentistry.

Outside of work, I spend time with my fiancé, my son and our 3 dogs. We enjoy being outdoor, and spending time with friend and family.

Stephanie Holecek - Dental Assistant

I graduated from Whitney Point High School in 2000 and Broome Community College in 2002.

I have been in the dental field for over 18 years and have been with Perna Dental since May 2024. I am excited to learn and expand my knowledge as a dental assistant. I currently live in Whitney Point with my husband of 20 years, 3 beautiful children and 6 dogs. I enjoy my family quality time, being at the ocean, reading, and enjoying the quiet country views from my back porch.

Sabrina Evans - Dental Assistant

I graduated from SUNY Cortland in December 2024, with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences, and minor in chemistry. I have previously worked chairside with a periodontist, but am excited to expand my knowledge at Perna Dental. I came back home after college to spend more time with my family and my boyfriend. I enjoy many outdoor and sporty activities, and going to the gym.

Melissa Bronson - Bookkeeper

I have been in the accounting field for over 30 years and with Perna Dental for 4 years.

I live in the town of Conklin with my husband of 20 years and our two sons. I keep busy attending all sporting and musical activities they are involved in. In my spare time I enjoy camping, reading and walking, but most of all, spending with my family.

Cheri Limbert - Register Dental Hygienist

I graduated from Broome Community College in 2000 with my degree in Dental hygiene. I have mostly practiced in general dentistry with a couple years in pediatrics. I have enjoyed building relationships with my patients and helping them achieve healthy smiles. I am looking forward in continuing my career here at Perna Dental.

I live in the Town of Maine, where I have raised my three children (Miranda, Jared, and Saige). I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and now that they are grown, I enjoy travelling.

Shannon Houghtaling - Register Dental Hygienist

My name is Shannon Houghtaling and I’m a lifelong Broome County resident. I graduated from Union Endicott Highschool in 1994 and the SUNY Broome Dental Hygiene Program in 1998. Before joining Perna Dental I worked in an office for twenty-four years specializing in pediatrics. Looking forward to being part of the Perna team for years to come.

I live in Binghamton with my husband Josh and daughter Natalee. I am the manager of my daughters travel soccer team and we love sports and travelling. In addition to that I love being with family, taking care of my home, and decorating.
